Art Exhibition- Palace Grounds Exhibition today from 14 th December 2023 to 17 th December 2023.
Last Exhibition of this year. It was held in Palace Grounds, Bangalore. 14 th is the is the Inauguration, only for VIP’s it says. Keen to see the outcome. Exhibited 9 paintings. Most of them in Oil Painting and couple of them in Acrylic Painting. My Artwork sizes are 30×30 inch to small ones 8×10 inch. Exhibiting the artworks and people noticing it. Talking to an audience and getting accepted is such a great and humble feeling. Couple of artworks that I have exhibited are same as showcased in other exhibitions during the year. It was a big platform to showcase to people and form my style. I usually work with Still Life as my subject of Painting. Although Sale of a Painting marks the success of any Exhibition… but as of now, getting to exhibit itself should be a priority and a good experience. It is time to build connections and get talking to people and connect with the Artist Community and the buyer. It is through this process that I can get to know more about the artists and the artworks that are trending and maybe bring about learning and be more confident in going forward. Although I am not going to change my art style, but can incorporate few elements that I would like to try it out. Also listen to some suggestions by senior Artists. I should be there, connecting with people, which is little overwhelming for me. Talking about my work, promoting my work.
I have been shying away from it for many years. I think I am ready to shed that inhibition and go ahead to showcase my work and want to go all out and invest, involve, and arise from the wonderful experience that comes from creating and connecting. Sharing this experience to get myself from coming out of my comfort zone and putting my thoughts in perspective. It enriches me to write down my thoughts and experiences. Reflecting the take away from the Exhibition is therapeutic as I can focus on what went right and what could have been done differently. I would like to know about the algorithm. Process or set rules to be followed or implemented for success. Most of us are good at listening to things, but not seeing what they are doing. Look at the pattern and see how they are working out. Go in-depth and analyse, learn from it. Mind is always finding excuses to get around not figuring out or trying to learn. Day 2 – Exhibition opens for Public Yesterday was eventful. Around 100 artists are participating.
So, admiring lots of beautiful works. Inspired and apprehensive too. Wondering where my work stands among these. But my artworks are also looking great. I am sharing my booth with 2 more artists. Happy to be able to showcase with great talents. Visited all the stalls and spoke to Artists who have created wonderful Artworks, got couple of Contacts who are similar minded Artists. Couple of Gallery’s were also participating with Group of Artists putting up their works and Artists putting up their stalls independently. There were live performances from reputed Artists also. Couple of the Artworks that attracted my attention were A Series of paintings on Thrissur Pooram. I have seen this Artists work in India Art Festival’s previous exhibition held at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad. I had visited with my mother and had admired the paintings. There were big canvases of Charcoal Paintings by a Mumbai Artist. Met couple of Artists from a group of Women Artists. Very talented people.
Day (3 & 4) Third and fourth day also visited and saw some more works, spoke to Artists, spoke to Visitors who were coming and enquiring about the Artworks. Although not much footfall, but it was nice experience and exposure to meet and greet fellow Artists and take it forward. Shared my booth with 2 talented Artists, who were Doctors turned Artists, Dr. Jyothi and Dr. Epshita. They had displayed Abstract Artwork and Charcoal Artworks. My neighboring booths had Artists displaying Abstract works, to Charcoal paintings to different models of Cars to Resin Artworks. So many themes, everyone with different themes and their perspective of Artworks display. So many artists and wonderful treat to the eyes. Got to Exhibit 9 Artworks during this Exhibition.
