Exhibition Showcasing One Artwork

Another exhibition this month, July 23. This is another interesting one … a 1 painting exhibition. Artist has to submit only one painting. It’s a month-long exhibition in Shades Art Gallery, called ‘AFFORDABLE ART’. It is one of its kind. With a QR Code link to see my Website. A good marketing strategy. Its good to find ways to market yourself as you are creating more inventory. Other than that, I have enlisted my Artworks on Etsy. It’s a handmade product selling platform.
This was the painting that I exhibited at the Art Gallery. I have been thinking of writing about the process of Art making to be able to give an insight and in-depth process of how the Artwork was made, I am taking this opportunity to start that process from this Artwork.

I showcased this signature work which I am very happy about. Let me take you through this Painting, the process. The time I did this, I was not active in social media. Hence, I would like to go through the process which I had experienced while making it.
This Painting is an Oil Painting Artwork. I have used Texture to create an embossing effect of the Vase and the Flower. It was made from chalk dental powder mixed with fevicol to make a smooth paste. Then applied to the Canvas. Before it could dry up made the markings or the rough texture to give it a more realistic Earthen feel of the Vase. “A Textured Vase”.
For this painting, a neutral color background was more suitable as per my artistic vision, as the Vase had so many textures and layers of colors that once they dried up, have come up to give a lustrous feel to the vase. The light and dark shades have played wonderfully to give the effect of Sunlit room, the rays falling to one side and the other side being in shade.
Added the flower, a Bright one, which is contrasting the dulled-out effect of the pot to give a brightness overall. There is a harmony in the colors and seems right to the viewers attention. That has been my Endeavor through all my paintings.
The colors that I have used in this painting are – as you can see Yellows and shades of yellows- chrome, ochre, Greens and shades of greens which has been mixed with blue and browns, then Orange and chrome yellow for the flower. Finally, the background is mix of yellows and Burnt sienna and burnt umber shades. It took me 2 – 3 months to complete this artwork.
It turned out to be a beautiful work which can be an outdoor piece of décor or add value to the interior of a house.
This work is an Oil Painting Artwork on Canvas. Size 16×24. It is available in Shades Gallery, Bangalore.
