I, Sangeetha Krishnan, a passionate self-taught artist who found painting as my goal to fulfil my hidden Artistic abilities. To me, the vivid colour palette and the process of creating the visual narration of a subject through soft brush strokes on the canvas is therapeutic. I believe painting for me is to reconnect with myself at a deeper level.
Being an Artist, according to me, is simply being able to notice the ever-changing scenes and capture the moment. Living in the moment. Enjoying the little things. Cultivate awareness. I am, in my simple ways somehow, via my work, reflect that beauty of creation back at the universe in a small way. And in that small way, be part of creation. For if we do not notice these things, we are not truly experiencing life.
And it’s so simple that children know it, before we teach them to grow up. Do you want to know what it is? Here it is: the meaning of life has no meaning but one – to LIVE.
Inspiration for my artwork comes from the sublime beauty of nature and from various interpretations of life with a touch of my imagination. I want my paintings to reflect my experiences and moments we are fully aware of our surroundings. The Central theme of my paintings revolves around Floral Illustrations of self-clicked pictures and from my travel and Things around me. My way of approach towards painting is to ingrain life into objects and draw viewers’ deep attention towards it.
I have been Painting for more than 20 years, the interest in me was kindled when I was a teenager. I like to Paint with Oil colours, Acrylic colours and Water colours as each medium has its own challenges to explore and express my abilities.
