Wanted to talk about Art themes to be chosen for creating Artworks. It is a very confusing thing to come up with what to Paint. With its vast subject, it is better to think what is that which you would like toshowcase to the audience. I feel that Art is very personal. In that feeling of yours if you can get someone to like it and appreciate it, it is a bonus and inspires to create more.
So, selecting a Theme for an Artwork is very essential. According to me, I am always going back to Flowers which is my inspiration and which gives me ideas to explore. Still life is also another theme which makes my soul alive. But I guess it is the comfort level which takes me to choose these topics.
My dream is to be very good at painting different Flowers and Still life images that I see thru my eyes,that are around me and I get to arrange them, to be captured in a frame of canvas or a paper. But then again, I would like to make my work on the travel to beautiful locales I have undertaken. Then I have this desire to try at abstract as it challenges my imagination. As I visit some of the Art exhibitions and galleries, I think that some of the themes are so simple, why not I try that. Would like to do Portrait also. Multiple ideas to try out but would like stick with one theme… Still Life, Flowers, and painting from pics of travel I have visited.
This month was hectic, as I had gone for a Himalayan Trek and was so much smitten by the experience that I am still reeling under the awesome feeling which still has got me hooked. Hence thought of writing a blog on the experience and make a couple of Artworks, some of them with Pen and water colours, others with watercolour as medium from my clicked pics and couple of them from the photographer of the group Anupam.
