End of March till beginning of April, 27 th – 2 nd , Excited with Exhibiting my Paintings at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad. Which was exciting… exhibition time is when you apply a fresh coat of Varnish, take note of the Artworks that have not been framed or need reframing. Lots of expectation and looking forward to the moment of meeting the deadline. To make the final selection which gets displayed.
It comes with anxiousness about whether people will accept and appreciate your work. It was pleasant and enjoyable experience to meet up other artists and analyze their works from people’s perspective.Couple of them who would stand mesmerized looking at my Artworks, thoughts like.. what thoughts are going through their minds, will it turn out to be a saleable piece of work.
Not every study has to be finished, sometimes the learning of the process can be just as pretty. Love the process and take away the stress’.
Painting is an attempt for me to understand the radiance, colour, light, shadow and wonder that surrounds each of us in nature. Whether I am captivated by Flowers that blooms around me, Majestic trees, Misty mountains or the Vastness of the Sea, the process of describing this beauty in paint truly fascinates me.
Each time I interpret what I see onto a canvas, the process changes my basic understandings and the creation that hold the timeless beauty.
A thought that comes to my mind is the purpose of why I am making Art.. The love to create work that is meaningful and inspiring. Art that captures a feeling. Art that can give someone a moment of contentment and overall peace.
I also think that art should be attainable because I believe that everyone deserves to have art in their homes. So I plan on creating a variety of pieces at varying price points so that there will be something for everyone.
It would be really cool to have my pieces sell but right now I am trying to enjoy the process and enjoy where I am today.
Got a commission work. Did 3 Artwork series to depict a background for a music by a friend’s Youtube channel on Indian Classical Music and Rhymes.
