SECOND ART EXHIBITION THIS YEAR!!! MOVING A STEP AHEAD!!
Got another opportunity to participate in an Art Exhibition. From June 16th to 21st , a 5 day event, showcasing artworks for exhibition and sale. This is my 2nd one this year. It was at Indian Institute of World Culture in Basavangudi, Bangalore. This is the first time I am visiting this place. A very cozy place … with small rooms like entering an Old traditional house. Beautiful Gallery nestled in one of the best areas of Bangalore.
It was an interesting pitch to move forward with another exhibition…, striking forth one more goal of this year, to participate in four exhibitions by the end of this year. Having its benefits, as I am opening out of my shell. I am making the calls that I have put off for so many years, connecting with people and talking about my Artworks.
This is giving me new perspective to look at my artworks. Trying to analyse what made me do these works, what was the inspiration to go on this journey. Finding the reasons for making a particular artwork, is challenging my mind, giving me new thoughts and gathering ideas for beginning next set of work. I realized I can weave a story by connecting to my thoughts and the Artworks.
Connecting with other Artists, knowing their thoughts to start this journey, getting acknowledged by my fellow artists, comments and suggestions, their observations about my work… is giving me the courage and confidence to move forward in this journey.
The Exhibition was for 5 days. It had 13 participants. Some good response in terms of sale. I guess I was there to exhibit my works solely for the part of experience and exposure, which according to me I got it and very encouraging.
Exhibited 9 Paintings. One in Acrylic colour medium and Eight of them in Oil colour medium.
Had wonderful time during the exhibition. Got to meet couple of old friends and mates whom I have worked with and from my township. Exploring the place. Went to old food Joint… Vidyarthi Bhavan, Gandhi Bazaar.
